If you plan a safari … here are some tour operators we know and we trust in.

Mama Artemisia

THE EXPERIENCE ENABLER: For many years, Christine Dachs worked for a national newspaper in Austria, the “Salzburger Nachrichten”, as a project manager. In 2005 she decided on a new career and moved to Arusha in Tanzania where she built up a tour business that focused on arranging conducted climbs up Kilimanjaro and safaris. Christine’s enthusiasm for Tanzanian life and culture combined with her love for tailor-made trips moved her to set up Mama Artemisia, a promotion and marketing company for individual tastes. All trips are operated by Tupendane Daima Safaris, a licensed tour operator and member of TATO. That is what Christine is all about: knowing her guests, preparing a specialist itinerary to match their interests, knowing tour operators who, like her, ensure guests enjoy a quality experience. He is absolutely reliable and service oriented. Paradies safaris

THE PIONEER: With 25 years of experience Paradies Safaris is one of the pioneering Tanzania Safari companies. It started when owner Hildegard Keil, a biologist, was completing her research for the doctorate in entomology. On completion she remained in Arusha and started the company in 1990. Paradies Safaris is a registered member of the Tourism Association of Tanzania (TATO) and the Kilimanjaro Climbing Association. The main ethos for the company is to offer safaris that are professionally tailored to guests by people who had actually visited the areas. These safaris could be a camping safari, a lodge safari or a mixture of both. Paradies Safaris describes it’s philosophy as to offer their guests an unforgettable experience in Tanzania and to focus not only on the animal and plant world, but also on the country and its people.
